Ways to Cope with Stress
Remind yourself it is OK and you are experiencing an expected reaction to a stressful event.
Give yourself permission to react, don't try to hide your feelings.
Keep your life as routine as possible.
Physical exercise and relaxation can help alleviate some of the responses.
Spend time in nature.
Avoid alcohol and drug use.
Eat regularly and minimize sugar and caffeine.
Seek peer support.
Do something nice for yourself!
